Lease structures
How the leases differ
The structures Blue Capital lists, in its own words.
Blue Capital says it assesses each case and designs terms that fit. When you apply, it tells you which structure suits your deal.
Blue Capital leases
| $1 buyout lease | You own the unit for a nominal $1. Payments are higher: it works much like financing. |
|---|---|
| 10% purchase option | You can buy the unit for 10% of its original cost. |
| FMV lease | You can buy the unit at its fair market value, return it or upgrade. Lower payments, and no automatic ownership. |
| TRAC lease | Common for vehicles: the residual is set up front and settled at the end. |
| Lease line of credit | A pre-approved leasing limit you draw on for repeat purchases, without applying each time. |

FAQ
Questions about financing
What’s the difference between financing and leasing?
With financing you buy the unit over time and own it at the end. With a lease you pay to use it, often at a lower payment, with options to buy, return or upgrade when the term ends.
Which lease structure is right for me?
It depends on whether you want to own the unit at the end, and on your cash flow. Blue Capital walks you through the options when you apply.
Is lease-to-own the same as a lease program?
No. Lease-to-own is an agreement with us for one of our units, and the lessor is named in each agreement. Lease programs are arranged through our sister company.
How fast is a decision?
Same-day approvals through our sister company Blue Capital Equipment Finance Ltd., on approved credit.
Do you do the financing yourselves?
No. Financing through our sister company Blue Capital Equipment Finance Ltd., an affiliated broker, at the same Surrey yard.
Does Mainland Truck & Trailer Sales receive a referral fee?
No. Mainland Truck & Trailer Sales receives no referral fee.
Is the estimate an offer?
No. It’s an estimate, not an offer of credit. Your actual rate and payment depend on your business and credit profile.
